about Sara’s background

One of my favorite quotes is “In between where you are and where you want to be, there is room to simply breathe” by Morgan Harper Nichols. I believe that therapy is all about providing you with the safe space to breathe and process while we explore both where you are and where it is that you truly want to be.

I operate with an eclectic style that is all about providing you with what you need, and I incorporate assorted therapies that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). Additionally, I am excited to share that I have completed basic training for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and am working towards certification through EMDRIA.

about me

I received my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Towson University in 2020. After graduating and obtaining my license, I worked as a therapist at a residential eating disorder facility prior to transitioning to outpatient therapy. Through my time at a higher level of care, I had the opportunity to build my knowledge of eating disorders and best practices of treatment, as well as utilize a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework.

I have also had extensive experience working with assorted mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, OCD, and interpersonal difficulties at both residential and outpatient levels.

I believe that everyone has the strength and the resources they need to manage the difficulties they are facing; however, I also believe that everyone needs the space and empathic support to connect with these strengths, which is what I am here to provide!

“Sara and I have been working together just over a year. She is a great listener, very kind, and is sincerely dedicated to her patients. I have seen many positive changes in myself as a direct result of her counsel. I've been going to therapy for years, but this is the first time I feel as though I am truly making progress.”
